My Mini-Zoo

As part of the animals topic, the year 7 students collected a number of invertebrates in a large jar. The jar also contained soil, grass, sticks and leaves. The lid was punctured with a number of holes to allow air inside. The students placed fresh water and foodinto the mini-zoo every second day.

They kept the animals for 10 days carefully noting the ainimal's behaviour, eating and drinking habits and any changes. An A3 sized poster was used to commmunicate their findings to their peers
